How this was measured and verified

This is a dated snapshot, not a live feed. Here is exactly what each number means and how it was checked, so you can trust it — or re-run it yourself.

• ROI = Ahrefs Domain Rating divided by the cheapest one-time price for a permanent listing with a dofollow backlink. A taller bar means more domain authority for every dollar you spend.
• Prices, free tiers, and dofollow wording were read on each directory's own pricing or submit page in a real browser on the verification date — not from memory or old blog posts.
• Link type was confirmed where possible by inspecting the rel attribute of a real published listing. That is how TopAI.tools and Futurepedia were caught passing rel=nofollow links, and how Dang.ai was caught cloaking its links through a no-index redirect — none of them pass SEO value, whatever they charge.
• Domain Rating comes from the Ahrefs free Domain Rating API on the same date. Prices move and promo codes expire, so treat every figure as a snapshot and re-check before you pay.
• Prices are the lowest one-time listing price, except where shown as /mo. Startup Fame only sells a $19/month subscription, and a recurring fee is not directly comparable to a one-time buy — read that bar with the caveat.
